Why I Made This
Being a crafty mom, I often found myself saying "I'll make you one!" when my kid starts whining in the store for me to buy them something. Only then, I realize I don't have the time to make it for them and then secretly hope that they'll eventually forget.

Recently, my daughter discovered a chubby crochet chick at a handmade store and instantly became obsessed. This adorable egg-shaped plushie (reminiscent of a handmade mini Squishmallow) shot straight to the top of her wish list.
With Easter around the corner, I knew this would be the perfect spring-themed project. She even dug through my yarn stash and picked out the softest chenille yarn for it herself!
I hadn't crocheted in weeks and wasn't feeling my best, but her excitement was contagious. That night, I picked up my hook and designed this plush crochet chick all in one go!
