One of the accessories that comes with the xTool M1 is a set of metal triangle prisms that elevate your material above the laser bed. They work great for improving airflow and reducing scorch marks, similar to what a honeycomb bed does, but there's one thing that has always bothered me.
Unlike the xTool M1, the M2 does not come with triangle prisms, so I had to dig out my old M1 prisms and started using them again. They worked great, but every time I moved them, I had to space them out all over again. Not only was it time-consuming, but I also hated the sound of the metal prisms scraping across the metal base.
I wanted a simple way to keep the prisms evenly spaced so I could move them together without resetting their positions each time. Inspired by these prism holders that came with the xTool M1 Ultra, I decided to make my own.

- xTool M2 Laser
- 1.5 mm basswood
- xTool M1 Triangle Prisms
- E6000 adhesive

How to Make the Spacers
Step 1: Import the free SVG in xTool Studio

| Open it in xTool Studio. |
Step 2: Cut the spacer pieces
 |
| Each spacer is made up of a top and bottom layer and holds five triangle prisms. |
 |
| To organize a full set of 10 prisms, cut a total of 8 pieces (4 top pieces and 4 bottom pieces). |
Step 3: Assemble
 |
| Glue each top piece to its matching bottom piece. |
 |
| Allow the glue to dry completely. |
Step 4: Place the triangle prisms into the slots
 |
| Each prism fits into the dedicated slot, keeping the prisms evenly spaced and aligned so they can be moved together as a group. |
Step 5: Place your material on top and cut as normal.
