That's exactly what happened when I spotted the Miffy x Starbucks collaboration! Among the collection was a super cute Miffy Barista plush, and it immediately sparked an idea in my head. As much as I loved the official design, I couldn't resist grabbing my crochet hook and putting my own handmade spin on it.

This crochet bunny amigurumi is inspired by that collaboration and features all the details that make a crochet shop barista recognizable: khaki pants, a green apron, and my favorite addition, a black visor. While the official Starbucks Miffy plush doesn't include a visor, I thought it would be a fun way to add a little extra personality and make my crochet bunny stand out from the original inspiration.

Design Process & Inspiration

This crochet bunny amigurumi pattern was inspired by the Miffy x Starbucks collaboration that launched in May 2026, featuring the adorable Miffy Barista plush that quickly became a fan favorite.

When I first started searching for reference images the day before its release, I came across a version of the plush wearing a black visor. I later realize that it was an AI-generated image. However, I absolutely loved the look of barista Miffy with the black visor. So instead of sticking strictly to the official design, I decided to incorporate a black visor into my own crochet amigurumi bunny barista for a bit of extra personality.

Amigurumi Starbucks Miffy Crochet Pattern

This crochet bunny design came together fairly smoothly, but a few small details took some experimenting. Since Miffy is white and also wearing a white shirt under her apron, I wanted to make sure the clothing details were still noticeable. To do this, I added a subtle ridge on the arms to suggest sleeves.

I also added a tiny white crochet heart to the green apron because it felt like the design needed something to help balance it out. For the face, I chose to embroider the eyes instead of using safety eyes this time to give Miffy a softer look with oval-shaped eyes.

The visor was the trickiest part of the whole design. It took more than several tries to get it to the shape and structure I wanted. I eventually landed on a version I was happy with, and I think it adds such a cute barista touch to the final amigurumi bunny.
