My Review of the Itty Bitty Amigurumi

As a long-time follower of @crochet.me.zaddy, it's been really rewarding to watch him grow and flourish within the crochet community, and Itty Bitty Amigurumi feels like a natural extension of that journey. The patterns in this book are approachable, beginner-friendly, and designed with accessibility in mind.

Zac includes picture tutorials in the first half of the book alongside QR codes that link to video tutorials, making the book especially welcoming for newer crocheters. He also created his own line of chenille yarn, which is featured throughout the book and gives the amigurumi their signature soft, squishy look.

All of the patterns are no-sew, which makes them quick and satisfying projects with no ends to weave in. True to the title, the amigurumi designs are genuinely itty-bitty, with the largest project topping out at just 21 rounds.

Because the designs are intentionally simple, they aren't overly detailed and don't include many step-by-step photos (aside from the crochet tutorials in the first half of the book). The book is ideal for beginners, makers preparing for markets or craft fairs, or anyone experiencing a creative slump and needing fast, low-brain-energy projects to get back into the flow.
