Hello! Over the weekend, I showed off some of my Candy Heart Pillows on Instagram.

I'm actually quite happy with what I decided to put on my pillows! Namely, "Netflix & Chill" - haha! I thought that one was the cutest.

I tried to tap into some Disney-themed ones with "So this is Love". I tried to do "True Love's Kiss" but I think that might have been a bit too long and looked uneven if I tried to force all the words on there, so I left it at "True Love".

Single crochet makes an awesome canvas to cross-stitch on because the height and width of the stitch are approximately the same.

Here is a picture of where you would put your cross stitches on your canvas. Sometimes the holes might look like they're not aligned, but just keep going and you'll eventually be able to see it come together.

I thought you might be interested in the font/cross stitch pattern for the letters I used for these pillows to make them look like Candy Hearts or Sweetheart candies, so I drew them up for you! Now you can customize it and say whatever you want it to!

Each letter is 7 cross stitches tall and about 3-5 stitches wide on average. I've included the ampersand (&) symbol, but as an FYI, that one is actually 8 stitches tall.

What I did was that I drafted the sayings on grid paper or you can use StitchFiddle and then measured it along the widest part of the heart to see how many stitches I need to block off on each side to center the words.

Hello! The letters were seen on using worsted weight yarn because the pillows were made using worsted weight yarn :)

Did you put the letters on before or after assembling the pillow pieces?

I actually cross stitched/embroidered the letters onto the pillow AFTER I assembled it. But you can do it before if you like. There's no real order to it.
