Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas this year! We moved just in time to put up the Christmas tree and enjoy Christmas 2021 in our new home.

The weather in Vancouver, BC has sure been very unusual. For the first time in forever, we actually had a white Christmas!

It doesn't generally snow this early in the winter season in Vancouver. And even if it does, the snow doesn't typically last for more than 2 days because it would end up raining a few days later, washing it all away.

This year, Vancouver started snowing on Christmas Eve and it's been alternating between snow, rain, and wind.

We've been very unprepared. There's a park that's right across the street from us and we've just been watching our new neighbors slide down the hills with their sleds.

I've never thought of buying a sled because snow doesn't last for very long in Vancouver. But watching those people zip down the hills... I've never wanted a sled more in my life!

But of course, everyone has the same idea and they're all sold out everywhere.

That's OK though. We find our own way to have fun!

Hanson has been a long-time Sailor Moon fan (yes, more than I am) and has been trying to introduce the girls to watching anime with him. Mui really enjoys it, but then again, she enjoys all TV. I ended up crocheting all the Sailor Scouts as amigurumi dolls too!

So last year I made this Sailor Moon crochet beanie for her. She wore it maybe once but didn't want to touch it again.

On the other hand, BB seemed to really like the crochet beanie, so I guess it's hers now. Everything worked out and my work didn't go to waste!

I love that Sailor Moon's long pigtails on this crochet beanie can function as a scarf too if she really wanted to - hahaha 🤣

This crochet beanie can help keep your dedicated anime fans and cosplayers warm in the cold. I guess you can call it a "cosplay beanie" of some sort. So let me share this crochet pattern with you!
